Here I'm in the process of creating my own patterns from printed free downloads. I piece together the pages then draft my own patterns, changing details as required such as seams, matching tops to skirts and adjusting necklines, armscyes etc.
One pattern takes about a day to prepare, from printing, cutting and sticking together to cutting pieces out and drawing the altered version on brown paper, which I'll show you in a future blog.
I've got the second half of this monster dress to piece together yet! I may even video it so you can join in the learning curve with me!
