This Halterneck Summer Dress was made from a vintage dress pattern, possibly c.1940.
I've worn it a lot over the years, and taken the skirt sides in as I wanted a more bodycon look. The straps cross over at the back.
This pattern required bodice lining that had a facing in the waistband. I learned how to do invisible stitching from my mum. I adapted the pattern so I could cross the straps over at the back, then button them at the front.
