Care Instructions

Do not machine wash: Machine agitation will permanently ruin the velvet's texture and can tear or snag the delicate silk charmeuse.

Do not iron: Placing a flat iron onto this garment will permanently flatten and crush the velvet pile, leaving shiny, unfixable burn marks.

Do not tumble dry: High heat will shrink the cotton sateen unevenly against the silk and ruin the velvet texture.

How to Remove Wrinkles at Home

Use steam only: Hang the garment up and use a handheld steamer on the inside/reverse side of the fabric.

Keep your distance: Do not let the steamer head directly touch the fabric. Let the steam pass through it gently.

The bathroom trick: Alternatively, hang the garment in the bathroom while you take a hot, steamy shower. This is the safest way to relax wrinkles in both silk and velvet without risking water spots.
