Terms and Conditions

This website Holder Boutique is owned by Stella Richards, business name Lapiz Lazuli trading as Holder Boutique. We sell Holder Couture clothing, The Costume Portal and Holder Jewellery. You agree to every part of these terms and conditions when you commit to purchase from Holder Boutique through any checkout system on this website.

Made to measure Clothing

Made to measure clothing is non-refundable. Items cannot be returned. This includes all purchases from any collection of Holder or The Costume Portal.

Shipping

All items will state Free Shipping. Item prices will include shipping. Shipping will not be charged extra in checkout. Customers are responsible for any and all customs fees, import duties and taxes. VAT is included in the item prices.

Clothing Repairs and / or alterations.

I do not do repairs on made to measure clothing items bought from my store. If an item requires any repair or alteration, please find an alternative repair service.

Clothing Insurance

All clothing will be sent by Royal Mail with compensation covering the cost of all materials and labour.

No returns accepted.

Royal Mail shipping with full compensation cover if item goes missing. On payout of successful claim, you will be refunded minus cost of materials.

Jewellery Insurance

All the Holder Jewellery items listed for sale on the Holder Boutique are shipped to me from my supplier in New Jersey, USA. Every purchase is covered by a 3-month manufacturer’s warranty, which covers defective parts experienced under normal wear and the labour required to repair them. We or our manufacturers cannot warranty any stones that our manufacturers did not furnish.

Holder Boutique's jewellery warranty is valid only with jewellery made by and repaired by the manufacturer. Improper repair of warranty service performed by someone other than the manufacturer will void this warranty.

All Holder Jewellery made by our manufacturer is genuine, authentic and of consistent high quality and value.

Both Holder Boutique and Holder Jewellery disclaims any liability for consequential or accidental damages for breach of written or implied warranty of this item, including merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you also have other rights, which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation will not apply to you.

The Holder Jewellery warranty is valid only in the USA.

Please be aware that our 3-month warranty only covers manufacturer’s defects. It does not cover the following:

  • General wear and tear such as scratches, dents, nicks or missing stones.

  • Although our jewellery is resistant to moisture, water damage is not covered.

  • Fading/chipping of the material on the product (which depends almost entirely on how you handle the product).

  • Lost or stolen parts.

  • Damage due to personal misuse or negligence.

  • Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the item while in the possession of the consumer not caused by a defect in material or workmanship

Jewellery Refunds

Processing Refunds:

Payments made by credit card will be refunded to the same card within 3-5 business days after the return is received.

Please note that original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Special Orders:

Custom mountings or pieces not specifically shown on our website are non-cancellable and non-refundable.

Additional Return Conditions for Jewellery:

Items showing signs of wear, damage, or alteration will not be refundable.

All returned items must be unworn and undamaged, in the original box, and include any original certificates where applicable.

Jewellery - International Refunds

30 days refunds on all orders shipped to a customer address outside of the USA.

The customer is responsible for all shipping costs, duties, VAT and taxes that may be incurred in returning the item(s) back to us.

We do not accept C.O.D returns.

If any duties, VAT or taxes were paid to the shipping carrier on receipt of the order, it is the customer's responsibility to contact them to request any refunds.

In the event a package is refused at customs by the customer, or if a customer is unavailable to accept the package from the shipping carrier and we are charged any return shipping charges, duties, VAT or taxes, the customer will be responsible for all expenses related to the outbound shipment and return of the package. This amount will be deducted from the original sales amount when the refund is applied.

We recommend using UPS or Federal Express to ship the item(s) back to us, however the return carrier to use is at the sole discretion of the customer. Please contact Holder Boutique before returning any item of jewellery, as our manufacturer may require return paperwork from Holder Boutique to be sent along with it.

In EVERY case, please contact us FIRST before shipping items to our return address below.

Returns

If you wish to return your merchandise, we offer a hassle-free process to refund, replace, or exchange any item(s) within 30 days of delivery—as long as they meet certain conditions.

All returned items must be unworn and undamaged, in the original box, and include any original certificates where applicable.

Colour Disclaimer:

While we strive to display our jewellery as accurately as possible, variations in computer monitors may cause slight differences in colour and details.

Include the Return Order number inside the return package.

Prepaid Shipping: Ensure all return shipping charges are prepaid

Insurance & Signature: The package must be insured for its full value, including shipping charges, and sent with signature-required service.

Jewellery Repairs

Ring Sizing:

Our manufacturers will gladly re-size any ring, except Eternity Rings, purchased from Holder Boutique for up to 1 month for a nominal fee.

You will be responsible for shipping charges when sending an item to us for re-sizing.

Re-sizing will take approximately 2-7 business days.

Eternity Ring cannot be re-sized. Eternity rings incorrectly ordered with the wrong size does not fall under warranty. If you decide to return an eternity ring that does not fit a 30% restocking fee will be applied.

Stone Replacement:

Our manufacturers will replace a missing diamond or gemstone on certain jewellery for up to 3 months after purchase, FREE of charge. This warranty excludes any jewellery merchandise that has lost a single diamond or gemstone with a total weight of 0.12 carat or larger. Please contact us with a picture of your jewellery before sending it to us.

I will need to confirm your jewellery is eligible for any alterations or repairs before sending it in, as manufacturers warranty is only valid within USA.
